How billing works, when you can get your money back, and how to ask.

Template: have a lawyer review. This page was generated from the site configuration and is not legal advice. Items marked [PLACEHOLDER] must be completed and the whole text reviewed by a qualified lawyer before launch.

1. Summary

BrollBot is a digital service that starts processing as soon as you subscribe. By completing checkout you ask us to begin supplying the service immediately and acknowledge that you lose your statutory right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. If you have used less than 20% of your monthly minutes, you can request a refund within 14 days of purchase. This does not affect any rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

2. Subscription charges

  • Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or annually, depending on the plan you choose.
  • Your payment method is charged automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel.
  • Annual plans are charged once a year at the discounted price shown at checkout.
  • Prices are shown in USD and taxes are added where required.

3. Cancelling

  • You can cancel at any time in your account settings or by emailing support@brollbot.example.
  • Access continues until the end of the billing period you have paid for, and no further charges are made after that.
  • Cancelling does not by itself trigger a refund of the current period, and we do not give prorated refunds for unused time or unused minutes.

4. When you can get a refund

You may request a refund, and we will approve it, if:

  • you ask within 14 days of purchase and have used less than 20% of your monthly allowance (1 credit = 1 minute of finished video);
  • you were charged in error, charged twice, or charged after cancelling because of a technical problem on our side;
  • the service was materially unavailable or did not work as described and we could not fix it within a reasonable time; or
  • the law where you live requires one.

[PLACEHOLDER: confirm how this applies to renewals and annual plans.] Outside these cases, fees you have already paid are generally non-refundable, including partial months or years.

5. Statutory right of withdrawal

In many countries consumers have a 14-day right to withdraw from distance contracts. For digital services you can ask us to start immediately; by completing checkout you do so and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is lost once the service has been fully performed. If you withdraw before full performance, we may deduct a proportionate amount for the service already supplied, as the law allows. This policy does not affect any mandatory rights you have under consumer law.

6. What is not refunded

  • Minutes already used, and exports already delivered, beyond the thresholds above.
  • Accounts suspended or closed for breaching the Terms.
  • Dissatisfaction with how well B-roll matched a video, if the service worked as described. You can swap, trim or remove any clip.
  • Charges from third parties, such as your bank's fees.

7. How to request a refund

  • Email support@brollbot.example from your account address with the subject “Refund request” or use the contact form.
  • Include your account email, the date of the charge and the reason for the request.
  • We aim to reply within 5 business days. [PLACEHOLDER: confirm your response time.]

8. Approved refunds

Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe. Funds usually take 5 to 10 business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer. [PLACEHOLDER: confirm typical processing time.] We may close the subscription when we refund it.

9. Chargebacks

Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. We can usually resolve problems faster, and an unresolved chargeback may lead to your account being suspended while it is investigated.

10. Service faults

If the service does not work as described, contact us and we will work to fix it or remedy it in line with your legal rights.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy at any time. We will post the new version and change the “Last updated” date. Changes do not apply to a refund request you have already made.
